Wooden Tulips

Time spent: 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Grand total: $45
Garage sale buddy: Renee
Weather: gorgeous
Best buy: framed poster
Book: I Saw Esau with illustrations by Maurice Sendak
Dutch connection: yes, if you count wooden tulips, candlesticks marked "Delft," and a cheese slicer.

Renee and I had fun going to garage sales this morning. How couldn't it be fun? Good company (right, Renee???) Nice sales (if you don't count the crummy ones) and free drinks at Starbucks (they were giving away tall "Refreshers" from noon to 3). Renee's best find was a brand name teen jacket for $2 that still had the Macy's tags on it. Mine was a framed poster.

My framed poster. It's huge. Great find at $15

A variation on wooden shoes... wooden tulips! $3 for all, including the basket.
I love the image of a rooftop restaurant.
